Skin Care by age group: 30’s, 40’s and 50’s
As we age our skin changes: it becomes thinner, it looses elasticity, age spots appear and skin no longer looks as plump and smooth as it once did.
Various factors such as genetic predisposition, exposure to sunlight and environmental irritants can cause aging.
The 30’s
Skin Concerns: Signs of aging slowly start to appear. The skin’s texture starts to become uneven and rough while fine lines and discolorations may appear. Cells aren’t replaced as quickly which causes the epidermis to become thicker and drier. Moderate wrinkles and crow’s feet may also start to appear.
Key Ingredients: Regular use of glycolic acid helps to remove dead cells on the surface of the
skin. Using products containing vitamin C evens out skin tone and inhibits discolorations. Products containing
peptides help moisturize and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The 40’s
Skin Concerns: Signs of aging have set in; crow’s feet, wrinkles around the mouth and on the forehead are visible and darker spots appear. The skin begins to thin and collagen starts to break-down, which leads to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. The skin may appear blotchier, caused by capillaries that rupture. A dull complexion is apparent, since it takes more time for the skin to renew and repair itself, and signs of photo-aging are visible.
Key Ingredients: Peptides stimulate collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Glycolic acid removes dead cells on the surface of the skin to help minimize fine lines. The use
of vitamin C based products helps target uneven complexions while retinol helps revitalize photo-damaged skin.
The 50’s
Skin Concerns: Deep wrinkles, loss of firmness and a loss of definition of the facial contour are major concerns which are caused by the degradation of collagen and elastin fibers. Premenopause and menopause cause a loss of estrogen and progesterone which leads to thinner, dryer skin which may also cause temporary acne problems. Age spots become more prominent, due to sun damage incurred throughout the years.
Key Ingredients: Using a product with polymers and peptides helps plump and firm the skin. Regular use of retinol and glycolic acid helps diminish the appearance of sun damage.

Pro-Derm
By offering high levels of clinically proven effective ingredients, the Pro-DermTM line combines the benefits of both cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. Rich in high quality ingredients, the Pro-DermTM line combines innovative agents, natural botanical extracts and pure essential oils.
Vivier Pharma
Vivier Pharma has designed a unique delivery system called the IntraDermal System, “IDS”. The most important feature of the IntraDermal System, “IDS” is its ability to increase penetration across the stratum corneum (the outermost layer of the epidermis) by diffusion, thereby enhancing the ability of the product to penetrate the intercellular space and initiating a “depository-retention” effect in the layers of the skin (the stratum corneum, epidermis and dermis).
The IDS is designed to penetrate in a controlled manner and deposit an active ingredient into the skin right where it is needed.
The two most important features and benefits of the IDS are controlled penetration and a longer-lasting effect.
